Haghartsin Monastery is located in the secluded place of the forest, which includes the group of Monastery buildings. Appearing unexpectedly, out of the dense forests, in front of the visitors, the Monastery creates a magical impression of the lost world. The complex includes: Churches St. Gregory (XI c.), St. Stepanos (1244 y.), St. Astvatsatsin (1281 y.), the chapel (XIII c.), burial-vault of the Bagratid kingdom (XII c.), vestibule of St. Gregory (XII c.), refectory (1248 y) and a place of different monastery services (XII-XIII cc.). The most attractive one is the Church St. Astvatsatsin that is the leader of artistic technique. Monastery refectory, raised by the architect Minas, belongs to the buildings of the rare type composition. It possesses the shape of the oblong rectangle. Lengthwise the walls, stone benches are placed. The premises receive beams by light holes in the hip overlaps.
