Explore the splendors of ancient Armenia!
Breakfast at the hotel. Yerevan sightseeing tour includes City center, Republic Square, State University, City panorama, Cascade, Parliament, President’s Palace, Opera, Matenadaran - one of the world's largest depositories of ancient manuscripts, pride of Armenian culture, Tsitsernakaberd - a monument to the Armenian Genocide Victims, as well as the Genocide Victim’s Museum, commemorating the 1.5 million Armenians who perished during the first Genocide of the 20th century in the Western Armenia and in the territory of Ottoman Empire. Visit to the hand -made carpet factory. Each signed piece represents a rare combination of Old World craftsmanship and the design aesthetics of today's most discerning clientele.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Erebuni fortress which was constructed by Argishti I in 782 BC and the Erebuni museum (1968) with Urartian period exhibits. Erebuni has been renamed into Yerevan since the 7th century A.D., when it became the capital of Armenia.
Drive to Etchmiadzin city (in Armavir Province), the spiritual and administrative center of Armenian Apostolic Church where Etchmiadzin Cathedral-one of the ancient churches in the Christian world is located. This church was founded in 301 A.D. by St. Gregory the Illuminator and it is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (2000).
Next stop is Zvartnots temple which is considered one of the most significant architectural wonders in Armenia. The temple was built in 641—661 A.D., and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List (2000). Zvartnots collapsed as the result of an earthquake but the remnants, even in ruins, still speak about the rare beauty of the temple. Drive back to Yerevan.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Garni-Geghard: Drive to the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, in Garni, built in 77AD by King Trdat (Arshakid Dynasty). The temple is Greco-Roman style with characteristic pillars. It stands proudly on a rocky ridge with a deep canyon presenting a beautiful view. The temple was a summer residence for Arshakid dynasty. Visit to the ruins of Royal Palace and Royal bath-house nearby. Canyon of Garni -magnificent and outstanding scene which creates the image of falling crags. It obtained the name "Symphony of Stones" due to its view. The fantastic landscape of Garni canyon shakes the human imagination.
Drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13thcc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the long-preserved spear, the same spear that pierced the body of crucified Christ. It is now exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list (2000). The monastery is hidden in the majestic rocks and this scene creates an impression that the rocks have been protecting the ancient monastery for ages.
The program includes local family hosted lunch in village house with watching of “Lavash” (Armenian traditional flat bread baked in stonemake oven) making process. The wonderful opportunity to taste newly baked bread-lavash with cheese and greens and get positive emotions.
Drive to Karashamb. Preliminary explorations have shown that here still remained a few thousand graves.
Drive back to Yerevan. O/N in Yerevan.
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Drive to Khor Virap - a place of pilgrimage for Armenians all over the world. According to history annals, Armenian pagan king Trdat imprisoned Saint Gregory the Illuminator in a cave which became known as Khor Virap (Deep Hole). Here you can also see the closest and most spectacular view of the gorgeous biblical mountain Ararat (where Noah's ark has landed according to Bible) shining with its two white peaks. From this area Ararat is so near that one feels he can touch those two peaks of the mountain.
Continuing tour to Areni (the entrance of Areni depends on a day, special permission is needed) - the location where archaeologists found the earliest known wine press for stomping grapes, fermentation and storage vessels, drinking cups, etc. Later in 2008 here’s found a 5,500-year-old leather shoe, which is a one-piece leather-hide shoe that has been dated few hundred years older than the one found on Ötzi the Iceman, making it the oldest piece of leather footwear in the world.
Next stop is Noravank monastery complex - a major religious and cultural center. The magnificent landscape of mountains, surrounding the monastery, displays a beautiful array of colors from the sun's reflection. The monastery is remarkable not only for its position among the red rocks but also for its extreme architectural value. The monastery is rich with the Armenian emblematic frets.
Drive to Hermon village and check in the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Khndzoresk - one of the most interesting sights in Armenia located amongst the rocks, caves and gently inviting nature. People have lived in this area, cut from the civilized world throughout centuries. This is a unique habitat, where each visitor feels as if the time has stopped.
Next stop is Tatev monastery complex which is one of the unique and beautiful monasteries in Armenia. It is located on the steep of deep gorge surrounded with very strong settings. It was built during the 9-13th centuries as an Armenian intellectual center where philosophers, musicians, painters, calligraphers and monks lived. The ropeway "Wings of Tatev" which is about 5,7 km in 12 minutes (a Guinness Book of Records entry) will take you to Tatev Monastery from Halidzor Village. Devil’s bridge: It is an amazing bridge which has natural origin. There are many mineral springs around, from which wonderful stalactites have formed. Some springs are under the bridge and fall into Vorotan River making it more full-flowing.

Breakfast at the hotel. Dive to Ughtasar. Uxtasar's rock images are situated about 25 km north to Sisian. These rock testimonies of Armenian forefathers who existed approximately from 5 to 2 millennium B.C. These images are carved on more than a thousand laid stones and they depict people during hunting, working, worshipping. Uxtasar's rock images are of worldwide importance monuments, which reveal the cultural sources of Armenian nation. Move to one of the best known and most interesting archaeological landmarks in Armenia - Karahunj (like Stonehenge) which is supposed to be the world's oldest astronomical observatory, built in the 6th millenia BC. Back to Hermon.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Alphabet Park founded in 2005 to celebrate the 1600th anniversary of the Armenian alphabet’s creation. The monument represents 39 fret letters of Armenian alphabet. All letters made from tuff of human-size are scattered around volcanic stones. It’s a good opportunity to take a picture with your Armenian letter. Continuing tour to the ancient settlement of Agarak - one of the best archaeological monuments in Armenia, represented in open-air complexes («Ritual landscape»), which, practically, reveal all the stages of material culture development dating from the early Bronze Age to the late Middle Ages. Aghtsk-Mausoleum of Arshakuni Kings where the remains of both pagan and Christian kings were buried. There are also many ornaments and symbolic carvings belonging to both pre-Christian ideas and Christian art. Just next to the Mausoleum there are the ruins of a 4th century church.
Continuing to Amberd which means a "fortress in the clouds" in Armenian. It is a fortress complex with a church built XI-XIII centuries on the slopes of Mt. Aragats. Amberd stands on a rocky eminence, again one of the impregnable fortresses of medieval Armenia.
